We are green

The recipe box is green. It is also full of Ada's recipes, handwritten in her distinctive and elegant script.

And I am green at this blog thing. I have always intended to make these recipes available to the whole family. But they need context. The real value is in knowing if "Easy Scalloped Potatoes" was a family favorite, or a recipe Ada got from a friend and meant to try sometime but never did.

So the plan is to post a recipe every day, and then get comments back from family members, especially Ada's children. Do you recognize this recipe? Where did it come from? What memories are associated with it? Commentary like this will make these more than a collection of recipes. They will become another kind of family history.
