Cheese Baked Beans

1 cup chopped onion
2/3 cups chopped green pepper
1/4 cup butter
2 jars baked beans (1 lb 2 oz each)
1 cup catsup
2 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Saute onion and green pepper in butter. Add baked beans, catsup, and 2 cups cheese. Bake in 2-quart casserole about 30 minutes until bubbly. Garnish with 1/2 cup grated cheese.
