Crispy Ornament Decorations

1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup cocoa
5 cups (10 1/2 -ounce package) miniature marshmallows
5 cups crisp rice cereal
Garnish: coconut, nuts, cinnamon candies, gumdrops, marshmallows

Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat; add cocoa and marshmallows. Cook, while stirring constantly to prevent scorching, until marshmallows are melted and mixture is well-blended. Cook and stir 1 minute longer. Add cereal; stir until each particle is well-coated.Cool slightly.

Butter hands; create various shapes and figures such as snowmen, pine cones, wreathes, trees and showballs. Decorate as desired with candy garnishes. If mixture becomes too difficult to mold, return to low heat to soften.

Cool ornaments several hours, or overnight for additional firmness. Wrap in clear plastic wrap (use sufficient wrap to twist well in back). Attach ornaments to tree branches.

Makes 12 to 15 ornaments, depending on size and shape.
